Design notes: Fulfilling a life-long dream, this client wanted to express her beliefs in joy, hope, and peace across all religions as a highly visible statement on her rooftop. Working from the idea of rooftop holiday decorations, she envisioned this set of nine religious symbols painted in a luminous, sparkling paint that would catch the suns rays and considered lighting it up at night. Old enough to be done caring about what the neighbors think, she looked forward to the reactions and conversation her sculpture might spark in her conservative, small Central Valley town.
