Design notes: Part of a total face lift for this small Santa Cruz beach bungalow (see "before" picture below), this project began with a design concept from the client, who knew she wanted wavy railing pickets and a strong, unique design that would still blend in with the neighborhood. Final design and construction was done in partnership with local contractor Alex Work. Metal details include railing posts with river rock caps, double-hinged front gate with tension handle, pergola support posts, and rolling driveway gate with metal track. The end result was a huge hit in the neighborhood, with people stopping by to admire and talk with the client about her "public art".
